Drug and Alcohol
Written by Administrator
Part 382 of the FMCSR requires companies to establish an Employee Assistance Program and testing programs for alcohol and controlled substances. The following tests are required:

• Pre-employment
• Post-accident
• Random
• Return-to-work
• Reasonable suspicion
• Follow-up

TRC's service is designed to assist you in complying with these requirements, and includes:

Confidential substance abuse file for each driver. Retention of documents to support random selection process and all other documents required under Part 382

Obtaining information from previous employers regarding new applicants, in compliance with Part 382.413(b)

Alcohol and drug testing services are handled through a negotiated relationship with an outside, independent drug-testing source approved by the Federal Highway Administration.
Just Say no to Drugs.
Reasonable Suspicion training can help avoid these.
